The Kapunungan sa mga Mass Communicators of the SU College of Mass Communication has extended the deadline of submission, as well as increased the cash prizes for the Feature Writing and Editorial Writing competitions.

The cash prizes have been increased to an amount of P5,000 for 1st place, P3,000 for nd place, and P1,500 for 3rd place for each category.

The prizes are sponsored by Gee Rabor, top executive of Enhance Business Management & Control Corp., and an alumnus of Masscom Batch 1999 that is sponsoring the event.

The deadline of the writing competitions is on Friday, April 19.

The topic for the feature writing contest is A Day in the Life of a Worker in Dumaguete (in relation to the celebration of Labor Day on May 1st). The topic for the editorial writing contest is on Climate Change or the current El Niño phenomenon in Negros Oriental. (SU KMC)
